Grace Min from the USA is due to take part at next week’s ITF Pro Circuit $25k tournament in Clearwater, FL, USA.  The 17-year old, from Atlanta, qualified for the Junior Exempt Programme after finishing 2011 as the year-end World Number 6 in the ITF Junior Rankings.

Min started 2012 well, coming through Qualifying to win the $25k tournament in Innisbrook, FL in early January.  In the final Min fought back, from one set down, to beat fellow compatriot, Gail Brodsky, 26 62 64.

Min has now gained a career high WTA singles ranking of 281 (as of 27th February 2012), which she will be looking to build on in Clearwater.

2011 was a great success for Min on the Junior circuit.  She earned herself the Junior Wimbledon Doubles Title along with Eugenie Bouchard (CAN) and went on to win the US Open Junior title in September, defeating Caroline Garcia (FRA) in the final 75 76(3).

Grace faces tough competition in Clearwater, with all Main Draw players ranked within the top 150.  Follow Grace’s progress at Clearwater on the ITF Pro Circuit website.
