$100,000 Bucharest - Irina Begu in action
The ITF Pro Circuit makes a return to Bucharest next week for a $100,000+H tournament at the BNR Arena. This is the fourth edition of the tournament, and 2012 sees the prize money at $100,000+H for the second year running.
Irina-Camelia Begu, a home favourite, is scheduled to play in Bucharest and will be looking to add to her trophy collection with a fourth consecutive win. The 21-year old from Romania has scored a hat-trick of doubles wins since 2009 and last year went one better by adding the singles title to her haul, beating Spain's Laura Pous-Tio 63 75 in the final.
There will be stiff competition from France's Alizé Cornet, currently ranked 55 in the world, who won her first WTA title in Bad Gastein in Austria in June this year and goes in to next week's tournament as the highest-ranked player.
Fans can follow scores on the ITF Pro Circuit tournament homepage, as well as the tournament website.
Updates will also be available on social media sites, Twitter and Facebook.
