$75,000 Monzon - Date signing tennis balls

In Monzon, the home town of 1994 Wimbledon champion Conchita Martinez, an ITF $75,000 Women's Circuit tournament took place within site of the Templar Knights castle. Plenty of processions also took place during the duration of the tournament due to it being Holy Week.

The singles final, which, due to two days of heavy rain, was moved from Saturday to Sunday, was won by 3-time Grand Slam singles semi finalist Kimiko Date-Krumm for her fourth singles title since making her return to full time professional tennis in 2008. Her opponent in the final was Alexandra Dulgheru who came into the main draw through the qualifying event.

The doubles title went to Yi Chen & Vesna Manasieva whose victory over Alberta Brianti & Margalita Chakhnashvili gave them their first title together in what was also their first tournament together.
