Olympic Tennis Centre
The brand new Olympic and Paralympic Tennis Centre is located centrally just one kilometre north of the Olympic village and two kilometres north of the main Olympic Stadium. It is situated in the Olympic Green complex which also houses Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Fencing, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Modern Pentathlon and Swimming.

The architectural consultant who helped design the Sydney and Athens stadiums is working with the construction company on building the Olympic Tennis Centre.

The Centre Court will houses the players' lounge and locker rooms, media centre, tournament control and technology.

There are 16 courts in total, 10 of which will be used for matches, six as practice courts. Aside from Centre Court, there will be two other show courts used, and then a further seven match courts.

All are hard court - the manufacturer will be confirmed shortly.

An ITF Men's Futures and ITF Women's Circuit tournament will be held at the Olympic Tennis Centre in October 2007 in order to test the facilities.
