Team USA at the Americas Cup

USA's girls defeated their Canadian counterparts on the final day of play at the Americas Cup to claim the title after three days of intense competition in Orlando.

The event, which was held at the USTA headquarters in Lake Nona, Orlando Florida on 6-8 December, is a 14&U Team competition for boys and girls. USA and Canada were joined by a COSAT team (South America) and a COTECC Team (Central America & Caribbean), with the four teams competing in a round-robin format.

The trophy was given to the nation with the best combined results over both the boys' and girls' competitions.

The American girls beat Canada on the final day of play leaving them top of the group, while in the boys' competition, COSAT topped the group. But it was the USA's combined record which saw them claim the trophy.
