ITF/Regional Association General Managers meeting

The International Tennis Federation hosted a meeting between the Presidents of its Regional Associations at the ITF headquarters in Roehampton on 28-30 November.

The visit also saw the inaugural meeting between the General Secretaries and Managers of the Regional Associations and the ITF.

Initiated to provide an open forum for two-way communication between the ITF and its Regional Associations, the meetings were held in three distinct sessions and covered a number of subjects including the 2018 development programmes and the 2019 Transition Tour, as well as communication and governance.

ITF President David Haggerty lead a meeting between both Regional Association Presidents and General Managers, while Chief Operating Officer Kelly Fairweather hosted the inaugural Regional Association General Managers meeting, with breakout sessions between the Regional Associations and ITF departments concluding proceedings.

“I would like to thank the Regional Association Presidents and General Secretaries for their attendance and participation in this series of highly constructive meetings," said Haggerty. "This was an important opportunity to freely discuss key strategic and operational matters in order that the ITF and our Regional Associations can find new ways to develop and grow the game together.”

Fairweather added: "The inaugural General Managers meeting was a great opportunity for Regional Associations and ITF staff to interact, discuss ITF Strategy, priorities for 2018 as well as operational matters and share best practices. I would like to congratulate the attendees for fully embracing this new concept and contributing so thoroughly. We look forward to working in this collaborative manner in future.”
