WADA publishes 2018 Prohibited List

News Article

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the 2018 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods, the 2018 Summary of Major Modifications to the Prohibited List and Explanatory Notes, and the 2018 Monitoring Program. The 2018 Prohibited List sets out what substances and methods are prohibited under the WADA Code and also, therefore, under the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (the “Programme”). The 2018 Prohibited List comes into effect on 1 January 2018.

The 2017 Prohibited List is not the same as the 2018 version. All players are responsible for acquainting themselves, and ensuring that each Person from whom they take advice (including medical personnel) is acquainted, with all of the requirements of the Programme, including knowing what constitutes an Anti-Doping Rule Violation under the Programme and what substances and methods are prohibited, and ensuring that anything they ingest or use, as well as any medical treatment they receive, does not give rise to an Anti-Doping Rule Violation.
