ACSA Gauteng Open draws and schedule

The Airports Company South Africa Gauteng Open, part of the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Tour, gets the first of two weeks of top level tournaments in South Africa underway this week.

The ITF 1 Series event in Benoni features five of the world’s top 10 ranked men, four of the world’s top 10 ranked women and six of the world’s top 10 ranked quad singles players.

World No. 2 Stephane Houdet of France is top seed for the men’s singles, while South Africa’s world No. 7 Kgothatso Montjane is the defending champion in the women’s singles, with world No. 1 Sabine Ellerbrock of Germany starting this year’s tournament as top seed.

The world’s top two ranked players, David Wagner of USA and Lucas Sithole of South Africa, head the entries for the quad singles, with Wagner arriving in Benoni as the defending champion.
