Level 3 Officiating School, Qatar, Doha

Thirty-one students from 14 different countries across Africa, Asia and Oceania gathered in Doha, Qatar for the staging of a Level 3 Officiating School in Doha, Qatar on 3-6 March.

The Level 3 School, designed for those Chair Umpires, Referees and Chief Umpires who have considerable experience of officiating in professional tennis, focussed on advanced techniques and procedures required for the international stage.

The school was followed by a two-day refresher course for white badge chair umpires and referees from the Gulf region, with 15 officials from 10 countries attending the course taught by Enric Molina, Carlos Ramos and Anders Wennberg.

The response from attendees proved very positive and initiatives such as these, designed to keep officials up to date with the ever-evolving game, will continue to take place in other regions around the world as ITF Officiating strives to provide the best possible education for its officials.
