BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: The ITF Beach Tennis Tour’s return to Argentina saw Brazilian men’s top seeds Ralff Abreu and Vinicius Chapparo come through three rounds of action to take the title with a 62 62 victory over second seeded Italians Doriano Beccaccioli and Antonio Belli, the only representatives from outside of South America.

Ahead of the final, the European pair had endured a tough semifinal where they overcame local hopes Adrian Gudon and Alejandro Pardini, winning two tiebreaks, one either side of a 63 second set loss, to set up the showdown with the No. 1 seeds.

The top seeds, in contrast, had experienced a more straightforward path to the final, dropping just six games in total from their two matches after a first round bye.

Home success was always on the cards in the women’s event where six of the seven teams all hailed from Argentina with the seventh team being an Argentine-Brazilian combination.

Like in the men’s event, the final was contested by the top two seeded teams but the similarities ended there as a 61 63 victory saw second-seeded Virginia Mazuchi and Liliana Patron emerge triumphant.
