The Asia/Oceania Pre-Qualifying event for the Junior Davis Cup by BNP Paribas kicked off in Kuching, Malaysia, on Sunday, with 13 nations competing for the two available spots at the Final Qualifying event in May.
After three days of round-robin play across four groups, the line-up for the knock-out stages has been set.
Pakistan finished top of Group A after a surprise win over top seed Kazakhstan, who now finishes second in the group. Kazakhstan will take on Saudi Arabia on Wednesday while Pakistan faces the third seeds, Turkmenistan.
In Group B, second-seeded Syria won both of its round robin matches against Iran and Yemen and will face Lebanon in the play-offs.
Iran clinched second place in the group and will come up against fifth seed, Vietnam. In Group C, Saudi Arabia and Turkmenistan finished as the top two teams in the group, while in Group D Vietnam and Lebanon will progress through to the knockout stages.
