Make a note in your diaries - the dates for the 2014 European Beach Tennis Championships have been confirmed for this summer with the event set to take place on 8-10 August.
The seventh European Championships will once again be staged at Yellowave in Brighton on England's southcoast and will mark the end of the current two-year deal to host the Championships in Great Britain.
Last year's event saw players from Italy triumph in the finals including a win for Alessandro Calbucci and Marco Garavini, who added the European title to their earlier World Championships success.
For those looking to dispose the ever-formidable Italian teams as champions, inspiration can be taken from the German women's team who came close to causing an upset in last year's final while men's teams from Russia and France also gave a good account of themselves.
Great Britain can also expect huge support when they take to the courts as they look to sign off as the host nation in style.
The tournament organisers will be looking to build on the success of the 2013 tournament and the large crowds who basked in last year’s sunny weather whilst taking in the fast-paced on-court action are expected to return to cheer on the top players from across Europe, who will battle it out for the much coveted title of 2014 European champions.
The European Beach Tennis Championships, managed by Tennis Europe, is one of four major Championships to feature on the ITF Beach Tennis Tour calendar.
