Plock Orlen Polish Open gets underway

With rain affecting much of central Europe, the Plock Orlen Polish Open, part of rthe NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour, got underway as planned on Tuesday, with the men's main draw matches taking place on artificial grass, while the seocnd draw and quad singles events started on indoor courts in Borowiczki due the clay courts being unavailable for use.

The only upset on the opening day came in the quad singles as Sebastien Jance of France beat second seed  Peter Tatschl of Austria 61 64.

The women's singles will start on Wednesday's second day of play.
