SHEFFIELD, GREAT BRITAIN: 18-year-old Christian Harrison reached his third consecutive singles semifinal in three weeks today by defeating Richard Bloomfield 62 76(1) in the quarterfinals of the Men’s Futures in Sheffield, England.
Christian previously reached the singles semifinals of the two Men’s Futures tournaments in Glasgow and Preston, going on to reach the final of the latter. He has been unseeded in all three events and he is currently ranked 479 on the ATP World Tour.
Christian is the younger brother of 20-year old current world number 57 and two-time Grand Slam doubles quarterfinalist, Ryan Harrison. They played doubles together for the first time at the US Open this past summer where they reached the quarterfinals.
