Reigning quad singles champion and world No. 2 Noam Gershony of Israel has withdrawn from the 2012 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters due to injury.
World No. 8 Anders Hard of Sweden will now play in the four-player field as he makes his NEC Masters debut. Hard has had a good season on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour, winning one ITF 1 Series title and one ITF 2 Series title and was a quarterfinalist at the London 2012 Paralympic Games after beating fourth seed Andy Lapthorne for the second time this season in the first round.
