Finalists decided at Be Active Adelaide Open

Fourth seed Takashi Sanada set up an intriguing men’s main draw singles final with Frenchman Michael Jeremiasz on Thursday at the Be Active Adelaide Open, part of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour. 

Sanada upset his compatriot and world No. 8 Satoshi Saida 61 63 in their semifinal on the penultimate day of the ITF 2 Series tournament. Jeremiasz had a tougher match, eventually overcoming Gordon Reid from the UK 62 67 60.
 
Tournament favourite and Australian number 1 Daniela Di Toro reached her second successive tournament final after defeating Jordanne Whiley of Great Britain 62 63 in the women's singles.

Di Toro now plays South Africa’s Kgothatso Montjane, who comfortably beat Germany’s Katharina Kruger 61 63 in the other semifinal..
 
Kruger and Montjane were then back on court to pair up in the last four of the women’s doubles and reached the final by knocking out the Chinese Taipei pairing of Yi-Shan Wu and Chia-Li Lu 61 63.

In the other semifinal second seeds Whiley and her fellow Brit Louise Hunt showed no ill effects from their singles competition losses, powering past Japanese third sees Yuko Okabe and Kanako Domori 61 62.

“We feel good this week,” explained Whiley “Physically things are much better and although we have tough opponents in the final we are confident we are up to the challenge”. Hunt added, “We will look for the pressure points and go for the gaps”. 
 
Lucas Sithole avenged his first round loss to Britain's John Parfitt at the Queensland Open when the South African second seed knocked Parfit out of the quad singles at the semifinal stage 62 62 to reach the final against Shota Kawano of Japan. Kawano beat Italian top seed Marco Innocenti in an enthralling encounter 75 63.

Innocenti pairs up with American Greg Hasterok to play Parfitt and Sithole in Friday's quad doubles final.
 
In the men’s doubles final Frederic Cattaneo of France and Britain's Alex Jewitt will play former Doubles Masters champions and second seeds Martin Legner of Austria and Saida.

After beating French top seeds Frederic Cazeaudumec and Michael Jeremiasz earlier int the week Cattaneo and Jewitt booked their place in the final with a 46 61 (10-3) win over Japan's Mamoru Iwata and Takashi Sanada, while Legner and Saida defeated Brtish duo Marc McCarroll and Reid 75 36 (10-6).
