Rain washes out junior quarterfinals at US Open
Unfortunately, the meteorological predictions for a day of drenching rain and heavy winds in New York City came to pass, which prevented the junior quarterfinals from taking place at the US Open on Friday.

The postponed matches will take place on indoor courts on Saturday. There is rain forecasted for at least early in the day on Saturday in New York.

Prior to the matches being called for the day, junior players were hanging out in the player’s lounge alongside the likes of Venus Williams, who was catching a late lunch and waiting for sister Serena to play her semifinal match, and Rafael Nadal, playing an energetic game of Fusbol with his friends.

When the quarterfinals finally get underway there is high expectation for some intense match encounters.
