| Pella and Halep triumph in Milan |
Argentina's Guido Pella claimed his first major title on the ITF Junior Circuit by defeating Belgium's David Goffin in the final of the Italian Junior Open 61 26 63.
Pella, who has not played any previous tournaments on the ITF Junior Circuit, gained entry into qualifying draw thanks to a ATP ranking of 606. The Argentine proceded to cut a swathe through the qualfying and main draws, taking out second seed Cesar Ramirez en route to the final.
Simona Halep has a 15-2 win loss record on the ITF Junior Circuit this year, and goes into the Roland Garros Junior Championships full of confidence after defeating third seed Bojana Jovanovski in straight sets 64 61.
The boys doubles finals was won by Brazlian, Mexican pairing Henrique Cunha and Cesar Ramirez who defeated British pair Neil Pauffley and and Marcus Wilis 62 61.
