| IPIN is coming to Juniors |
December will see the launch of Junior IPIN, a new initiative for the ITF Junior Circuit. Following on from the success of the Pro Circuit IPIN, junior players will now get the chance to have their own International Player Identification Number (IPIN), and benefit from many features in their own personal IPIN account. The IPIN will provide another link between ITF junior and professional tennis, supporting the philosophy that the ITF Junior Circuit is also the stepping-stone to the professional game. When a junior player registers for an IPIN membership, that player will retain and use the same IPIN when he/she graduates to playing in ITF Pro Circuit tournaments.
Junior IPIN membership will cost just $20 and the various benefits provided with IPIN membership include:
· Access to Code of Conduct record · Direct updates regarding calendar changes · Direct updates regarding rule changes · Schedule planner · Anti Doping Advisory documents · Links to the ITF Junior Tennis Online School
The ITF Junior Circuit continues to grow year after year and the investment provided through Junior IPIN will help towards funding to maintain the high standard of the Circuit and the quality of the services that the ITF provides. Additional funding through the IPIN will also allow the ITF to continue organising Educational Forums on all continents, as well as to launch the ITF Junior online school as early as 2008.
Luca Santilli, Manager of ITF Juniors and Seniors said: “We are happy to be able to provide junior players with IPIN membership, thus adding another link between ITF juniors and professional tennis. I am sure that this new initiative will soon allow ITF juniors to make the best use of available IT resources to further improve the administration of an already very successful ITF Junior Circuit.”
Any junior player who already has a Pro Circuit IPIN membership will simply need to renew their IPIN membership as usual and they will gain automatic access to their Junior IPIN account when it becomes available in December. For junior players who do not already have a Pro Circuit IPIN membership they just need to register for their IPIN Membership in December.
Players will be able to register for their Junior IPIN membership from December 2007.
