| Rain wipes out play in Osaka |
Rain wiped out play on day two of the Osaka Mayor's Cup today.
There are just 19 matches outstanding from the first round of the singles competition, these will now be played on Wednesday.
No. 10 seed Brendan Evans (USA), no. 11 seed Karoly Fodor (YUG) and No. 7 seed Wang-Cheng Hsieh (TPE) are still waiting to start their title campaign. Hsieh and Evans will each face a Japanese Qualifier and Hsieh will take on lucky loser Kouhei Tani (JPN).
Only one girls' singles seed has yet to make her mark, Da-Jung Hong (KOR) faces Japan's Moe Tsubuku, who put out the no. 5 seed to qualify for the main draw.
