Malaysia and Iran maintained their winning ways in Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Zone Group III action on Friday with victories over Cambodia and Singapore respectively.
The wins mean that both nations will contest Saturday’s promotion play-offs to determine which two nations advance to Asia/Oceania Zone Group II next year.
Top seeds Malaysia will play Lebanon, while hosts Iran will take on Syria, with the winners of each tie progressing to the next tier of the competition.
Saturday also sees relegation play-offs between Cambodia and Singapore as well as Turkmenistan versus United Arab Emirates. The losers of these ties will drop down to Asia/Oceania Zone Group IV next term.

In Asia/Oceania Zone Group IV, Saudi Arabia ended the group stages with a perfect 4-0 win loss record after defeating Mongolia 2-1 to finish top of Pool B.
The Saudis will play Jordan in a promotion play-off on Saturday, while Pacific Oceania will take on Qatar in the other promotion play-off to determine which two nations will advance to Asia/Oceania Zone Group III in 2015.
The remaining nations will contest positional play-offs to dictate the order in which nations finish between 5th and 10th place.
