Draw set for World Group and World Group II play-offs

The ITF has announced the draw for the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group and World Group II play-offs, which take place on 19-20 April.

USA was handed a home tie against France, Russia plays Argentina on European soil, Canada will receive a visit from Slovak Republic and Spain is at home to Poland in the World Group play-offs.

The four World Group II play-offs see Romania play host to Serbia, Netherlands at home to Japan, Sweden will take on Thailand on Swedish turf and Brazil will be at home to Switzerland.

The winners of April's World Group play-offs will take part in the 2015 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group alongside the four semifinalists from this year: Australia, Czech Republic, Germany and Italy.

The losers of the World Group play-offs will compete in World Group II in 2015 alongside the four winners of the World Group II play-offs. The teams losing in April's World Group II play-offs will contest their respective Zone Group I events next year.
