The draws for Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Europe/Africa Zone Groups I and II took place at the ITF headquarters in London on Monday.

With results in the Europe/Africa Zone Group I ties completed from the weekend the line-ups for both tiers of the competition were complete.

In Europe/Africa Zone Group I a tough top quarter will see either Russia or Poland progress to play top seed Croatia for a right to compete in the World Group play-offs.

Slovenia has been handed a home clash against Portugal with the winner of that tie set to play No. 3 seed Israel in the second round.

Ukraine and Romania will go head-to-head for the chance to play Sweden in the second round after the Scandinavian nation completed a fantastic comeback against Denmark at the weekend.

Slovak Republic hosts Latvia in the first round next year with the winner moving on to play No. 2 seed Austria, who received a bye into the second round.

In Europe/Africa Zone Group II top seeds South Africa, who lost 5-0 to Russia at the weekend to be relegated to Zone Group II, face a home tie against Monaco.

At the other end of the draw, No. 2 seeds Denmark will be looking to make up for the disappointment of missing out on promotion to Zone Group I when they face Cyprus on Scandinavian soil in January next year.
