The French Tennis Federation has announced that the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group first round clash against Australia will be played at the Vendespace in Mouilleron-le-Captif.
The tie, which takes place from 31 January-2 February next year, will be contested at the 4,173-seater north of La Roche-sur-Yon on a surface yet to be decided.
The venue has hosted various high-profile basketball matches and will now see two Davis Cup giants go head-to-head with a place in the World Group quarterfinals at stake.
France has won the Davis Cup nine times and Australia 28 but neither nation has lifted the trophy since the southern hemisphere side in 2003.
Australia lead the all-time head-to-head between the two nations 10-4 and also won the last time they played in France in the 1999 final in Nice.
