Promotion contenders ready for action

MATCH REPORT

Predrag Rusevski (MKD)

With just one day left of the 2013 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Europe Zone Group III event, the promotion play-offs will feature Greece against Macedonia, while Norway will take on Georgia.

So far in this year's competition the results have gone according to the seedings and Saturday's play-offs are no different.

Top seeds Greece are scheduled to play Macedonia, who defeated Azerbaijan 3-0 on Friday, while Norway, seeded No. 2, will play Georgia with the winners of both ties earning a place in Europe/Africa Zone Group II next year.

In Friday's other matches, there was good news for San Marino, who eased past Armenia 3-0, and Turkey found the going similarly comfortable against Albania.

Malta snatched a 2-1 victory over Iceland and Montenegro defeated Liechtenstein by the same scoreline to complete the action.
