The seeds once again proved too strong for their opposition on the second day of Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Europe Zone Group III action.
In Pool A, top seeds Greece eased past Liechtenstein, only dropping 6 games in three rubbers. Their 3-0 win means that they have qualified for the promotional play-offs.
They could play Georgia, who defeated the hosts San Marino 3-0 to secure top spot in Pool C. This was the only tie to contain a 3-set rubber and not even the presence of Domenico Vicini could help San Marino claim a rubber.
Norway are runaway winners of Pool B and have conceded the fewest number of games so far in the event. They eased past Iceland, winning 3-0 for the second successive day.
The winners of Pool D have not yet been decided due to the number of teams in the Pool. However, Macedonia are strong favourites to win that pool, having won both of their ties so far 3-0. They defeated Albania without any problems on Day 2.
Turkey recorded their first win of the event in emphatic fashion, defeating Azerbaijan 3-0. So strong was the Turkish team that four of the six sets in the tie finished 60.
