Puerto Rico v Mexico

Alex Llompart continues to lead the Puerto Rico side as they look for their first victory in Americas Zone Group II since reaching the Final back in 1995. He will open the tie on Friday against Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela who is in line to appear in his first singles rubber having previously featured in three doubles matches.

They will be followed on court by Chritian Garay against Daniel Garza. Mexican Garza is the vastly more experienced having featured in 12 previous ties compared to 16-year-old Garay who is making his debut appearance this weekend. Doubles action will showcase a mix of youth and experience as Puerto Rico's two singles players combine to face talented junior Lucas Gomez and the veteran Santiago Gonzalez.

El Salvador v Barbados

- Location: Santa Tecla, El Salvador
- Surface: Outdoor Clay

Barbados are being led by 20-year-old Darian King this weekend who is already playing in his 12th tie having reached ten total victories in the competition. He will feature in the opening match of the tie against Rafael Arevalo who is El Salvador's all-time win-leader. Marcelo Arevalo and Anthony Marshall take to the court after this match in the second singles rubber.

On Saturday both Marcelo and Rafael Arevalo will once again feature as will King who will partner with Russell Moseley.

Venezuela v Guatemala

Venezuela enter the weekend as hot favourites to secure victory at home against Guatemala and will open with their No.1, David Souto, against one of the visitors key components of their promotion side from last year, Sebastien Vidal.

It will then be down to Guatemala's key player in Christopher Diaz-Figueroa to try and secure what could be a key point against Ricardo Rodriguez. Piero Luisi and Luis David Martinez will come in for Venezuela on Saturday for the doubles while Diaz-Figueroa and Vidal return to take them on.

Peru v Haiti

Haiti are returning to Americas Zone Group II after just a years absence having been relegated in 2011. Peru are also returning to Group II but were the victims of relegation from Group I but are sticking with that same side for this home tie.

Diulio Beretta has been drawn to play first for the hosts having lost all four of his singles rubbers at the higher level last year but faces a Davis Cup debutant Hillel Rouseau who is aged just 17-years-old. Haiti's No.1 will feature in the second rubber against Mauricio Echazu.
