It was considered that this year's results were the best in a very long time. Congratulations to the players and coaches; especially Franz Sydow (ARU) for displaying such a high level of competitiveness during the competitions. Coaches Education In order to begin its accreditation process, the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association made a bold step from their unique situation to organize a successful ITF Level 1 Course. The course brought together the best coaches in Bermuda, which resulted in the highest pass rate in the Caribbean within the last 4 years. Play and Stay With the support of the ITF, Sports Company and Ministry of Sports, the Trinidad and Tobago Tennis Association launched its first Play and Stay competition on Sunday 15th March, on the grounds of the Chinapoo Government School. Over 150 children participated in the 3 hours of organized fun competitions using the red balls. Play and Stay competitions will continue for the next 8 weeks concluding on May 3rd. Facilities Barbados refurbished and installed lights on all 4 courts with assistance from the ITF Grand Slam Development Fund http://www.tennisbarbados.org/. Dominica and Grenada have also made progress in acquiring land from their respective Governments to build a National Tennis Centre.
