| Junior Touring Team to North and Central America announced |
The ITF Development Department has announced that the following players will form the International 18 & Under ITF/GSDF Team which will take part in the Yucatan Cup, the Eddie Herr International and the Orange Bowl.
The players on the team include:
Boys
Mazen Osama (EGY)
Guy Orly Iradukunda (BDI)
Girls
Ilze Hattingh (RSA)
Sandra Samir (EGY)
Lesedi Sheya Jacobs (NAM)
Theresa Alison van Zyl (RSA)
The team will play the following schedule:
19-24 Nov: XXVI Yucatan Cup, Merida, Mexico (G1)
26 Nov- 2 Dec: Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships, Bradenton, FL, USA (G1)
3-9 Dec: Dunlop Orange Bowl International Championship, Plantation, FL, USA (GA)
The team is financed by the Grand Slam Development Fund (GSDF), providing players not only with the opportunity to take part in top level international competition but also the invaluable experience of travelling abroad as part of a team under the guidance of an ITF/GSDF coach. The team will be accompanied by ITF/GSDF team coaches: Ivan Molina (COL) and Dermot Sweeney (ZAM).
