| Bisono and Machado win in Cuba |
Juan Bisono (DOM) and Yenise Machado (CUB) emerged victorious in the boys’ and
girls’ tournaments which took place at the end of the ITF/COTECC Regional Training
Camp held at the Occidental Miramar Hotel in Havana, Cuba.
Twelve of the region’s most talented 13 & under players experienced a high level of
training throughout the ten-day camp before participating in a tournament which
allowed them to execute what they had learnt.
Anthony Jeremiah, ITF Development Officer for the Caribbean, said: “It was a great
opportunity for the players to experience such a high level of training and a different
culture. Although under intense training and the Cuban humidity, the players
performed very well which bodes well for the future of tennis in the region.”
