Togo and Cote d’Ivoire dominated in Senegal

Togo and Cote d’Ivoire dominate at the ITF/CAT West & Central Africa 12 and 14 & Under Circuit in the Domaine de Nianing in Senegal. 34 boys and 17 girls from 9 countries participated in the circuit, which comprised two five-day tournaments.

In the 14-and-under age group, Cote d’Ivoire’s Marie Ange Sia won both girls’ singles while doubles titles were taken home by Ahounou Anicette from Benin partnered with Vitou Pascaline.

The boys’ singles titles went to Togolese Antoine Gbadoe as well as doubles partnered with his compatriot Jules Boli.

The 12-and-under singles events saw two singles triumphs by Vitou Pascaline from Benin in the girls draw and Cyril Lago from Cote d’Ivoire. The boys’ doubles titles were shared between the Togolese  pair Goudjinou Daniel and Agbagla in the first leg and Cyril Lago from Cote d’Ivoire partnering with Bokini Robert from Benin.

Omar Diallo, Tournament Director said: “Year after year this tournament is getting more prestige by having many participants. Thanks to the ITF/CAT for trusting us and giving such a chance to host the event”.
