Montgomery heads International 18 & Under ITF/GSDF Team to Europe 2013

The ITF has announced the International 18 & Under ITF/GSDF Team to Europe 2013, which includes two-time junior Grand Slam quarterfinalist Wayne Montgomery (RSA). Montgomery reached the quarterfinals of the 2012 US Open and the last eight at this year's Australian Open and will be a strong contender for this year's Roland Garros.

Also named in the nine-strong team are 2013 U16 African Junior Champion Sandra Samir (EGY), Davis Cup player Jorge Panta (PER) and Camila Giangreco Campiz (PAR), who made her Fed Cup debut for Paraguay in February this year.

The following players will form the International 18 & Under ITF/GSDF Team to Europe 2013 for an eight-week tour of Europe this summer:

29 June-7 July: The Junior Championships, Wimbledon, United Kingdom (GA)


The team is financed by the Grand Slam Development Fund (GSDF), providing players not only with the opportunity to take part in top level international competition but also the invaluable experience of travelling abroad as part of a team under the guidance of an ITF/GSDF coach. The team will be accompanied by three ITF/GSDF team coaches: Ivan Molina (COL), Roberta Burzagli (BRA) and Dermot Sweeney (ZAM).
