Amir Borghei was appointed ITF Development Officer for West Asia in January 2014.

Borghei is one of the region’s most experienced coaches and tennis development experts.  In 2006 he successfully completed the ITF Coaching High Performance Players Course (Level 3) in Valencia, Spain and has conducted many Play Tennis, Level 1 & Level 2 coaches courses for the ITF.

Borghei has worked as the Junior National Coach and the Director of Coach Education for the Iranian Tennis Federation.  He was responsible for overseeing the launch of Tennis10s in Iran and organised the largest Tennis10s Workshop in Asia, which was attended by more than 400 coaches and teachers in 2011.

Throughout his career he has worked with a number of high level players including Saba Najafi who became the number one ranked player on the ATF 14 & Under ranking in 2013.
