Suresh Menon was appointed ITF Development Officer for Asia in 1996.
Menon started his career in tennis as a player on the ITF junior circuit and reached a career high of 28 on the ITF junior rankings. He then went on to play US college tennis and graduated with a Marketing and Finance degree from the University of Idaho.
From 1989 – 1992 Menon was the National Coach for Indonesia, before taking up the same position in Malaysia. He has worked with a number of top Indonesian players including Yayuk Basuki, Romana Tedjakusuma and Benny Wijaya.
His efforts to promote and develop tennis in Asia have earned him the Certificate of Merit from the Asian Tennis Federation and the Campaign Medal for Vietnam Sport Career by the Vietnam Sport Committee.
