| Start Playing ITF Tournaments |
At the time of writing (January 7th 2008) 99 out of the top 100 men on the ATP singles entry ranking have played Satellite Circuits or Futures Tournaments in their career.
Successful performances on the Men's Circuit allows players to acquire computer ranking points which will help them move up to the next level of the professional competitive ladder.
When starting playing ITF Circuits it is advised to enter lower level events first. To get an indication of how strong previous years tournaments were and to get an idea of which tournaments to enter based on your current ranking please refer to the cut-off document below. This will show what the ranking of the last direct acceptance into the singles events were.
2008 Junior Exempt Project
The Junior Exempt position will be allocated according to the following criteria:-
The year-end number 1-2 ranked boys' singles players according to the year-end ITF Junior Ranking will be offered direct entry into the Main Draw at three (3) ITF Men's Circuit events up to and including $15,000+H prize-money level.
The year-end number 3-5 ranked boys' singles players according to the year-end ITF Junior Ranking will be offered direct entry into the Main Draw at three (3) ITF Men's Circuit events up to and including $15,000 prize-money level.
The year-end number 6-10 ranked boys' singles players according to the year-end ITF Junior Ranking will be offered direct entry into the Main Draw at three (3) ITF Men's Circuit events up to and including $10,000 prize-money level.
