BRIGHTON, GREAT BRITAIN: This weekend is a Bank Holiday weekend in England and, providing the weather is kind, is a time when many descend upon the south coast for the extended break.
Those heading down to Brighton on Sunday 26 May will also be able to take in some beach tennis action as the ITF Beach Tennis Tour rolls into this Sussex town for a G4 tournament. Doubling up as a warm-up event for the forthcoming European Beach Tennis Championships, which will also be held at the Yellowave venue, this tournament will give Britain its first taste of beach tennis action this year.
There will be extra incentive to perform well for the British entrants as places on the GB team for the European Beach Tennis Championships are up for grabs!
The tournament winners will win an automatic place in the host nation’s team for the European Beach Tennis Championships (providing winning players meet eligibility criteria to represent GB) taking place in early August.
If you are among those travelling to Brighton for some time by the sea over this Bank Holiday weekend, then be sure to check in at Yellowave to experience first-hand the thrills of this non-stop action sport.
