Tournament Preview

This year the Championships will swap the more traditional sea view for the greener surroundings of Clube Esperia in central Sao Paulo where it is hoped that this fast-growing sport and increasingly common Brazilian pastime will gain even more exposure.

Brazilians remain undefeated in these Championships despite strong opposition in the region. Venezuela has come the closest to upsetting the hosts as the Penalver brothers finished runners-up in Santos.
