Wimbledon Day 13 - Federer wins sixth title
Roger Federer became the most successful player in Grand Slam history when he clinched his 15th Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, defeating Andy Roddick in a record-breaking final 57 76(6) 76(5) 36 1614. Federer also became only the third player to win six Wimbledon titles, regaining the crown he lost in dramatic fashion to Rafael Nadal last year.

The match was the longest final in Grand Slam history at 77 games and contained the longest-ever fifth set. However, at 4 hours 18 minutes, it was 30 minutes shorter than last year's final, which contained longer rallies than Sunday's service-dominated encounter.

Roddick was left to rue missing four set points in the second set tiebreak, the last with a miss-hit volley with the court wide open. Having successfully held his first 37 service games, the American was finally broken in an epic final set lasting 95 minutes.

Federer’s win on the Wimbledon Centre Court was witnessed by Grand Slam greats Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg and Pete Sampras, with whom he previously shared the record of 14 Grand Slam titles.

Mark Knowles and Anna-Lena Groenefeld won the mixed doubles title, defeating Leander Paes and Cara Black 75 63.
