The International Tennis Federation (ITF) today announced the relaunch of its official website: www.itftennis.com

The new look website is part of the ITF’s overall strategy to redesign its whole family of websites, following on from the relaunch of the Davis Cup and Fed Cup websites, plus individual ITF weblets on Junior Tennis, Seniors Tennis, Officiating, Olympic Tennis Event, ITF Pro Circuit and About The ITF.

The main aim of the new-look site is to improve the ease of navigation and enhance the user experience for visitors to the site.

The ITFtennis.com home page will continue to act as a portal for over 20 individual ITF weblets, but will feature increased content including all the latest news and tournament information, rankings, photo galleries, interactive polls, audio and video clips. Visitors will also be able to access all the ITF’s social media properties.

As part of the overall design, each of the new weblets has its own distinctive colour theme, with ITFtennis.com having a green masthead to complement the ITF logo.

Despite the change in appearance, ITFtennis.com retains all the existing information including a comprehensive archive of statistics, with content related across the tournament, player and ranking areas within the individual weblets.

As part of the relaunch strategy, the ITF Men’s Circuit and Women’s Circuit weblets have been combined to form a new ITF Pro Circuit weblet.

The ITF Pro Circuit stages more than 1,000 international tournaments each year, and the new weblet features tournament reports, player spotlights and all the latest news from the circuit, alongside its social media initiatives.

The remaining ITF weblets will be relaunched over the coming months.

ITF President Francesco Ricci Bitti said: “The relaunch of the ITF website will help us to engage a new audience with the ITF’s events and activities, as well as providing existing users with a more comprehensive online experience.”

The new ITF website, developed in-house by the ITF’s ICT department, is built on the same web platform that powers the Davis Cup and Fed Cup websites and is designed to scale its performance to cater for well in excess of the current 1.3 million visitors that ITFtennis.com receives each month.

ITF Web Editor Chris Archer said: “The new websites use a powerful custom-built content management system which gives us great flexibility in presenting the huge range of ITF information through a fresh and modern design.

"Not only are these websites more user friendly, but they allow us to showcase our content more effectively across the increasingly diverse range of platforms that are used to view web content.”
