The draws for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group quarterfinals took place on Thursday and it looks as though all four are poised to be close affairs.
In Astana, the Czechs have decided to rest Radek Stepanek on the opening day which gives hosts Kazakhstan some hope of causing a major upset.
French No. 2 Richard Gasquet was forced to withdraw from his country's tie with Argentina to be replaced by a player ranked just four places beneath him in the world rankings - Gilles Simon.
Gasquet may have been in fine form this year but the strength in depth of the French side makes them a difficult team to defeat. Argentina will look to take inspiration from their passionate home crowd.
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic plays in the opening rubber in Boise against John Isner in what looks set to be the best tie of the weekend. Jim Courier's USA will fight for every point and this one could well go to a decisive fifth rubber.
And finally, in Vancouver it is Vasek Pospisil who has been named to play on all three days of Canada's first-ever World Group quarterfinal.
