AGM gets down to business

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK: The formal part of the ITF Annual General Meeting commences on Friday with a morning of Key Issues Sessions where delegates have the opportunity to listen and react to important topics facing the ITF today.

Topics for the morning include presentations, in the first session, on Finance and Administration, by Honorary Treasurer David Jude and Executive Director of Finance, Gillian Burgess, an update and potential rule changes for  Davis Cup and Fed Cup by ITF President Francesco Ricci Bitti, Executive Vice President Juan Margets and Head of Davis Cup and Fed Cup Justine Albert.

In the second session, delegates will receive an update on the Olympic Tennis Event by the ITF President and Executive Vice President, on Development by Executive Director, Development Dave Miley and an update on the ITF Court Surface Recognition programme by Stuart Miller, Executive Director, Science and Technical. 

Following a lunch hosted by the Fed Cup champions, Czech Republic, the formal AGM will begin followed this evening by the AGM Gala Dinner, hosted by Davis Cup champions Spain and the ITF at the Opera House. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark will be on hand to open the formal AGM.

Thursday’s break-out sessions were very well received by the delegates with high participation in all sessions. At last night’s welcome dinner, hosted by the Danish Tennis Association at Tivoli Gardens, ITF President Francesco Ricci Bitti, on behalf of all the delegates, thanked Danish President Henrik Klitvad and his team for the outstanding organisation of this AGM.
