China, Japan lead nations into World Junior Tennis Finals

China, Japan, Thailand and Chinese Taipei have all booked their place at the 2018 ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, to be held in Prostejov, Czech Republic, from 6-11 August.

China dominated the event, defeating Australia, Thailand and Japan on their way to the top spot. 

Japan drew first blood in the final but China prevailed with a 2-1 win. Third place went to Thailand, who came from behind to seal a 2-1 win over Chinese Taipei.

ITF Junior Team Competitions continue this week with the Junior Davis Cup  by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying event in Kuching, Malaysia. 

Sixteen teams are competing for the four places available at the Junior Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Finals, to be held in Budapest, Hungary from 25-30 September.
