The Tour headed to Central America for the first time in 2018 with the non-prize money tournament in Oranjestad, Aruba taking place over 26-28 January.

In addition to a whole host of local players, the tournament welcomed several overseas players including French-American duo Bertrand Coulet and Glenn Neven and current World No.43 Melissa Acosta from Venezuela.

Acosta, who went on to win the tournament with Aruban partner Dominique Hopman, reflected on the tournament: "Amazing final with a really good level in difficult conditions with strong winds"

Teamwork was key for the pair as Acosta added "my partner and me played well together backing each other up at the important points".

In the men's draw, Pieter Boot and Anderson Giel claimed victory after beating Cado Lannoy and Racardo Pagliuca in a close three-set final eventually winning 26 75 63.

Boot was pleased with the win, commenting after the match "I am incredibly happy to be here in the beach tennis paradise of Aruba and with the hard fought win this weekend!".

The Tour will make its way to Aruba once again next month for its second ITF Beach Tennis Tour tournament of the year taking place over 23-25 February.
