The final month of the year saw 31-year-old Ivan Nedelko compete in Pakistan over the first three weeks.

In a career first on the Pro Circuit, the Russian contested three singles finals in successive weeks, taking the title twice.

All three tournaments took place in Islamabad and he was named as the top seed on each occasion. The first title came without loss of a set during the whole week and a 63 64 defeat of Spanish fourth seed Pere Riba secured the title.

The following week Nedelko looked on course for another title as he moved through the rounds with a run of straight sets victories but he was denied the title in a final showdown with the second seed Enrique Lopez-Perez with the Spaniard recording a 76(1) 61 win.

The month’s action was to end on a high note however as Nedelko claimed his second title of the month in a re-match with Lopez-Perez. This time the battle of the top two seeds went in Nedelko’s favour as he won a close match 64 76(4).
