Great Britain’s Tara Moore won the doubles title at the Coleman Vision Tennis Championships in Albuquerque on Sunday alongside partner – and fiancée – Conny Perrin, of Switzerland.

The pair had to play back-to-back matches on Sunday, defeating Ulrikke Eikeri and An-Sophie Mestach 63 67(3) 10-7 in the semifinals before returning to court to beat Perrin’s compatriots and top seeds Viktorija Golubic and Amra Sadikovic 63 63 in the final.

Moore and Perrin have been engaged since last September and plan to marry in 2018. They are the only active players on the women's tour who are known to be engaged to each other.

In singles, Moore ended a 12-match losing streak and reached the quarterfinals, having previously not won a singles match since April, when she won a match in the qualifying event at Rabat before losing to Perrin in the second round of qualifying - the only time the pair have played each other since getting engaged.

Moore overcame Marie Bouzkova and Amanda Rodgers before falling to Sherazad Reix in the last eight. Perrin fell to Amra Sadikovic in the opening round.

The singles event was won by Emina Bektas, who defeated Maria Sanchez 64 62 in the final to win the biggest title of her career to date. The 24-year-old has also risen over 100 places to a career-high ranking of No. 234.
