The final weekend of October will see the start of a series of three prize money tournaments taking place on the Indian Ocean island of Reunion.

This series kicks off in Saint Gilles Les Bains where a prize pot of $2,500 will be on offer to the players and the action will then pick up six weeks later in Saint Pierre which will host $2,500 and $15,000 tournaments over successive weekends.

When the players arrive on the island, it will be the first visit by the ITF Beach Tennis Tour in the second half of 2017 with Reunion having previously been the destination on three occasions during March and twice in May.

In December, Saint Pierre’s $15,000 tournament will be the second on the island at this level, following on from a March event in Saint Gilles Les Bains. Back then, the duo of Michele Cappelletti and Luca Carli triumphed without loss of a set; a feat matched in the women’s event by their fellow Italians Federica Bacchetta and Giulia Gasparri.
