The draws have been made for the European Beach Tennis Championships taking place over the next three days in Bulgaria.

Sozopol will be hosting for the second consecutive year and the players now know who they'll be facing in the opening rounds.

Defending men's doubles champions, Luca Cramarossa and Marco Garavini have been named as the second seeds and will open against the Moldovan pairing of Artiom Doigopolii and Artur Tomartov. This match is scheduled as the fourth match on Court 4 today (Friday).

Also returning to make a defence of their European title are Sofia Cimatti and Flaminia Daina. The 2016 women's doubles champs and top seeds receive a Bye in the opening round and will open their defence with a second round clash with the winner of the tie between British and Austrian teams, Carole and Suzy Madge and Nina and Sarah Voit respectively.

Completing the set of returning champions are the 2016 mixed doubles title winners Sofia Cimatti and Michele Cappelletti.

Local interest will centre on the fortunes of three teams in each draw including their World Team Championship players Ognan and Plamen Fotev who helped Bulgaria to 19th place in Moscow and Emil Argirov and Dimitar Simeonov, who face a potential second round showdown with the top seeds and current World Champions Michele Cappelletti and Luca Carli.
