The Aegon Ilkley Trophy

Twelve of the world's Top 100 women will compete on the grass courts of Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club from 19-25 June.

The main draw for the Aegon Ilkley Trophy, which begins with qualifying rounds on 17 June, features 22 players ranked between 56 and 113, making this year's entry the strongest in the three-year history of the event.

Leading the line-up is world No. 56 Oceane Dodin from France, closely followed by Switzerland's Viktorija Golubic (ranked No. 65).

Former world No. 9 Andrea Petkovic heads to Ilkley for the first time and 2016 Aegon Ilkley Trophy singles champion Evgeniya Rodina of Russia will be back with her eye on retaining her title. France’s Pauline Parmentier also returns after her first visit in the tournament’s debut year, 2015.

Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club Manager Charlie Maunder said: “It's fantastic to see that in just three years since the tournament came to Ilkley, we are now attracting such an incredible line up of women to the club.

"The increase in prize money available helps to put our tournament high on the agenda for those keen to practise their grass court skills in the run up to Wimbledon, offering Ilkley audiences an exceptional opportunity to see players who are pushing their way up the international rankings and we look forward to welcoming them all.”

This year the women will compete for a larger prize fund, $100,000, and the winner also receives a wild card entry to play at Wimbledon.
