SUNRISE, FL, USA: Robby Ginepri, the former ATP world number 15 and US Open semifinalist, was successful in his first professional tennis tournament of 2013 as he claimed the singles title at the ITF Pro Circuit tournament in The Sunshine State.

Seeded sixth, Ginepri, who prior to this hadn’t played since a first round loss at the 2012 US Open, was making his first appearance on the ITF Pro Circuit since June 2001 and added to his sole ITF Pro Circuit singles title, won earlier during that same month, with a 64 62 defeat of Benjamin Balleret.

His title win was his first since triumphing at an ATP 250 tournament in Indianapolis, IN, USA during 2009.

The 30-year old American player is once again in action on the ITF Pro Circuit this week where he is seeded fourth in Weston, FL, USA and is set to face a Brazilian qualifier as he begins his quest for back-to-back titles.
