Australian Open entries announced

The entries are announed for the Optus Australian Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships 2013, a part of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour and the first Grand Slam of the year, which takes place at Melbourne Park from 23-286January 2013.

The top seven ranked players at the entry deadline, plus one wildcard, make up the eight players for the men's and women's events.

The men's wilcard will be awarded to an Australian player, with Ben Weekes and Adam Kellerman scheduled to play in the wildcard play-off on Monday, 21 January.

The top three ranked players at the entry deadline, plus one wildcard, make up the four players for the quad event.

The total prize purse for the Australian Open Wheelchair Championships has been increased to $AUD 90, 000.
